FURRED SKINS AND SUNDRIES.
TE ASSOCIATED BROKRS (Goldsbrough,
Mort and Co., Daigety and Co., iEder, Smith
and Co., and Wesralian Farmers. Ltd.) re
port as follows on yesterdab's sales at Fre-'
mantle:
KANGAROO SKTS: Short supplies of both
reds and greys were forward for the sale.
There was a full attendance of buyers, with
good competition forthcoming from all branches
of the trade. All lines were readily sold at
last sale's firm rates. Quotations were:
Greys: Firsts, 3/3; seconds, 2/6; heavies (over
2,clb.). 1/6 to 1/9; thirds. 1/6; salls. 57 a
dozen. Reds: Firsts, 3/; seconds. 2/3; first
fats. 1/9; second fats. 1/3; thirds. 1/3: anails
5/ to 6/ a dozen. EIros: Firsts 1/6; seconds,
1/: thirds. 6d. Brushsklns: Firsts. 1/6: sec
onds, 1/; thirds. 6. Wallaby and tamer
skins: Any well-prepared lines have support
at from 2/ to 3/ a dozen.
RABBrfIlN .-increased -eights were
estalogned for the sale. Inuiryj was fairly
strong, with the result that last sale's rates
were fully realised, the best lines making
from 9d. to 9%d. a lb., Inferior lower, ac
cording to ouality.,
FO-XSKIS.-There is no nouirr for this
type of skin.
SUNDRIES.-?orse hair. 265h&. to 27d. a lb.:
matted, 14d. to 17d. Cow tips, 5½d. a lb.
Kangaroo sinews, no demand. Beeswax. 9d.
to 126?. a lb.. according to quality. Domestic
Cats. 4/ to 51 a dozen for the best: others.
If to _p/. Horns: Sales of horns are hard to
effect. The prices offering pre approximately
£ 15 to £ 17 a ton. with damaged and inferior
lines practically unsalable. Goatakins: There
is no Inquiry for this type of skin. Water
yts: Best lines are makIng 12/ a dozen. with
inferior 5/ to 7/. Manna gum: Strong In
quiry still prevails for manna gum. Best,
parcels offered made up to £36 a ton. with
woody and inferior lines lower.
