DISTRICT
BOTUP BROOR. Aug. 23.--The Upper
Blackwood Road Board has accepted
an offer by Bunnine Bros. Ltd. to assist
in the construction of the road from
the company's Chowerup mill by supnly
ing timber for culverts and no to five
men to work on the road for several
wreks. The board's engineer estimates
the value of the assistanee to be about
£I O for culverts and £100 for labour
T'e Town Planning Commissioner (Mr.
D. T,. Davidson) met the chairman and
members of the road board at Boyup
Brook on Tuesday and inspected house
sites. timber mill sites and a site for a
school. Mr. Davildson considered that
there were sufficient sites available for
immediate reouiremerts. He said that
olans and estimates for the school were
being considered and that the depart
ment's eonroval was awaited.
Mrs. Hall. provisional Commissioner.
of Bridgetown. visited Boyup Brook and
enrolled eight local girls as eguides at
the National Fitness Hall. They are
