PASS TO PORT GEORGE MISSION
NEAR WHERE AIRMEN LANDED
Ouyen (Vic), Monday.
The Kev. A. J. Beard, a son of Mr.
. Beard of the Port George IV. Mission,
who is now in charge of the Ouyen
Presbyterian Church, stated that there
is a pass in.the hills near the spot
where the Southern Cross landed, and
had they known of its existence they
could hare been, at thc mission station
in a few hours. He thinks the blacks
had been sent north to search for the
ThÎRSing men.
