! pealed the verdict holding that the
damages must be compensatory and
not punitive. , ;
In the Appeal Court , on Saturday
Tranter's counsel -contended that he
haA lost his. wife's affection solely
through Lamb.
Lamb's counsel said that the erv
dence showed that other men were con-
cerned in the matter. ,
Mr. Justice Sims said: "I think the
! petitioner should thank the cö-respon
¡ dent for ridding him of a.'worthless
) woman instead of seeking to profit by
: it."
