ON INFLATION
Tells Farmers To Beware Of It
Straight-out Opposition to the Theo-
dore fiduciary note issue plan was an-
nounced yesterday by the leader of
the Country Party {Mr. Cameron). He
described it as inflation, however in
geniously the Federal Treasurer
might attempt to disguise his latest
currency idea.
"The Theodore scheme to ereat a
financial paradise of paper money in
this country is not going to fool any
body," said Mr. Cameron, "if we can
get on lust as well with paper, why
continue tbe gold bounty? Why en
courage men to go out prospecting for
gold?
*T am opposed strongly to inflation
in any form, and, a farmer myself, I
am warning fanners wherever I go to
beware of it."
