BRITAIN'S BUDGET
SURPLUS OF £36,000,000
REDUCING NATION'S DEBT
ECONOMY TO CONTINUE

London, April 16.
I Tho Budget, it is stated, will show
a surplus of £36.000,000. Reductions
j expected include income tax hy six-
pence, beer a penny a pint, and the
corporation tax bv one-half. The
.question of a bettine tax has been re
; terred lo a committee.
