THE KALGOORLIE ELECTROCUTION.
INQUEST ON TILE VICTIM.
VERDICT OF ACCIDENTAL DEATH.
STRONG RIDER BY THE JURY.
Knliroiirlie. Saturday.
Tile inquest concern mg tho deuth of
tho child, Robert Crichton, who was
electrocuted at tho Hannnu's Con-
sols mine on April 7, by coming into
contact with an electric power cable,
was concluded. The jury returned u
verdict of accidental death tho follow-
ing rider being added: "Wo find that
the mino management showed careleJVi
ness in rendering tho wires dangerous
to lifo by building up a dump to within
the reach of tho wires. Wo consider
that more suiiervision should be given
by the Mines Department and inspect-
ors to the installation and working of
high tension electric plants. In our
opinion, had the provisions of tho Mines
Regulation Act been strictly enforced,
the accident would not have happened."
