DEPUTATION.
GREENHILL-ROAD TO BALHANNAH.
A deputation, consisting of a number of
residents from Uraidla, Summerton, and
Balhannah, was introduced to the Commis-
sioner of Public Works on Thursday morning
by Mr. Kees, to urge upon the Commissioner
the desirability of having the Greenhill-road
carried through to Balhannah, and the neces-
sity for keeping it in a proper state of
repair. Messrs. Rees, Playford, and
Johnson urged the necessity of the work.
It was pointed out that all appeals to the
Road Board were unavailing, and the road
needed exceptional treatment, as most of the
traffic was at night when the gardeners were
going to market. Mr. Bower, in reply, pro-
mised to lay the matter before his colleagues.
