MOTOR CYCLE NOTES.
A successful trip to the D.T.N.S. car-<*>
nival, at Glenelg, last Saturday, was re-<*>
corded by the South Australian Motor
Cycle Club. The only mishap was the
capsize of a machine and sidecar, owing
to there being insufficient space between
finishing post and fence, and fortunately
that had no serious consequences.
Tile success of the sports is a good
! augury f?r those to be given on the rjmd
mairh Oval at en early date, in aid <rf
ail injured member of the club. Several
novelties will be introduced on that occa
sion, and the taste of the public has
been stimulated by the feate of riders
this season.
The most commendable activity of the
du]> is its endeavor to assist those in
peed. It has done a lot in that can*
in the past, aci now that it desires to
help a member, the public have an op
portunity of showing arfpreciation of wiat
has been done in the past.
A social is to be given at the Royal
Institution for the Blind, North Adelaide^
at 8 o'clock next Tuesday night, and
there is every prospect of a large attci
dance. TiiP- musical programme if in
capable hands, and those responsible have
determined to show what they can do
when really pot to it.
On Jwovem?er 6 a meeting of members
and ladies interested in the formation ot
a concert party is to be held in the
Y.M-C.A. rooms. That is expected to givs
definite shape to a proposal long consi
dered, and -will meet a real need. So much
talent has been at the disposal of the
dub in the past that it wishes to show
its= sense of obligations by incorporating
artists in its ranks.
