Thieves At Three Hotels
It was discovered on Sunday
that the Wharf Hotel (Mrs. Mar-<*>
garet Weman, licensee), at Mc-<*>
Laren parade, Port Adelaide, had
been entered, and £7 stolen from
the saloon bar. Bloodstains
smeared broken glass in the door.
Det. Leane and PCC Morrison are
enquiring.
The manager (Mr. M H. Mc-
Gowan). hearing the crash of
glass at the Star and Carter Hotel.
Sturt street. Adelaide, about 4 ajn
on Sunday, switched on a lisht.
apparently disturbing an intruder.
Glass in the saloon bar door was
broken.
At the Bushmen's Club Hotel
corner of Brown and Wright
streets. Adelaide. Bridget Helena
McNamara. the licensee, found on
Sunday morning that the glass ol
the door to the saloon had been
broken, but as it was secured apart
from the loc* the intruder did not
gain entrance.
