THE WEATHER IN THE COUNTRY.
Clarendon, October 10, 9.26 a.m.
It has been raining heavily since early morn*
ing, and still continues. The country looks
splendid.
Gladstone, October 10.

and there is every indication of a heavy fall.
The crops are looking magnificent.
Ardrossan, October 10.
Over a quarter of an inch of rain fell last
igbt with every appearance of more. The
wheat crops around the district generally are
looking fine.
Gawler, October 10.
Splendid steady rain set in early this morning,
and appears likely to continue.
Clare, October 10.
Rain has been falling heavily since early
morning, and has now increased to a downpour.
Port Wakefield, October 10, 9 12 a.m.
It is raining steadily from the north-west, and
very overcast
Georgetown, October 10, 4 30 p.m.
We have had fine soaking rains again all the
week, with the exception of yesterday, which
was fine. Half an inch has been registered op
to this morning. It has been raining steadily
all day, and is bitterly cold.
Port Pirie, October 10.
Heavy rain has fallen to-day, and the weather
is very cold.
Crystal Brock, October 10.
It has been raining steadily since daybreak
this morning.
Fan-ell's Flat, October 10.
Splendid steady rain has fallen here to-day.
Kapunda, October 10.
Heavy rain set in early thb morning, and it
rained without intermission till about 2 p.m.
Showers are still falling. The barometer is
inclining upward.
Gawler, October 10.
The weather has been very cold here to-day.
Splendid steady rain fell this morning, more
especially between the hours of 8 and 11 o'clock
a.m., -when it came down with scarcely any inter
misswn, and toward the end very heavily.
