PROVINCIAL TELEGRAMS.
RAILWAY ACCOMMODATION.
Port Pirie. July 23.
- A largely attended and representative meet
ing was held at Magor's Hotel in reference to
the construction of a railway from Blyth to
Crystal Brook, via Koolunsra. The route was
advocated on the grounds of economy of con
struction and the large area from Yaeka,
Koolunga, Gulnare South, and Narridy, which
would be drained by a very short line through
the districts named. It was shown that seventy
miles would be saved for passenger traffic, which
would take in the Appila Plains and the'western
country to Spencer's Gulf. This, too, is the
route pointed out by the Commission of 1874.
