Cressy 'last Tuesday sold at top rates. Fat
lambs, on acount of the following :--Mr

9d; J. Terry's, at.10s 6d; fat Morinoes,
from W. Oatonby, at 17.: fat South.

day rwe held a clear-out sale at Wert Park,
about 10 miles from Deloraine. Daring the

prodpcp sale-rooms, OCmorou-atreet, Launcoe
ton ;--More interest is taken in the wool
markeit,than in any other lines, and several
who:bhave tak-n the wool off their sheep are
holdlh' it-back pending the market asaumirg
a more psettled tone. At our sale to-day we
offordd:.25 lots of wool, and sold all but two.
Yaluesedo not show any Imptovement on last
week's sale, and buyers are still operatirg rely
cautinouly, Best quality fine cross-bred aed
fair class Merino brooght the same value, vi ,
7d, ihcilit medium quality is worth 5Od to ld.
A ndmber of bass of cross.bred brought 5Od to
O5d. The wool is very slow in coming to hand
this season, and no lots of importance have yet
been'offered. In grain and general produce we
got through a fair average quantity of the
variounsarticles comprising these lines. Floor
still sells at l11 to £11 10s for roller, and £10
to £10 lOs.for atone brands; prime millirg
wheat,'da 44 to 4s Lid; seeood quality, 3s to 31
3d; fowls, 2s 64 to 2s 0d. Oats are worth up to Is
Pd in small parcels ; for best stout, bright, dis
colaured and thin, Is 5d to Is 6d. We sold by
auction 300 sacks of oats more or less damaged
by wattcr-salrpge from the fire which oeturred
sold to lots to suit puroherl and realised from

enquiries for onions and applea, but none are

fresh and potted butter. We are pleased to be
able to report a slightly ehtter feeling ih butter,
and prices were a shade firn.r at thb close 'of

potted, Sd to ed. We cleared all
lines of freeh ebd potted recelved duringzthe
week, Bacon and hLms have been In better
demand, although priors remain at last week'h
quotation, eggs boing 8d per dorenc rhene dull
at 5id to 6d for best lines in phioels, and 3d to
4d for ordinary make. At our sale of sheep.
skins and hif?e this morning we offered a
rather etealler quantity than usual. Prices were
oqgat to late saies, aaeordlng to quality.
