A Digger's Diary
(Conducted by "Non-Com.")
There is a marked revival of sentiment among the ex-service men in West-
ern Australia, and sub-branches of the Returned Soldiers' League and unit
associations are displaying more interest in their affairs than ever hefore. The
foundation on which these organisations are built is comradeship, and the old
platoon spirit is abundantly evident when a comrade needs a helping hand. The
social side is not neglected and at every gathering the choruses that once helped
lighten a heavy pack bring memories of stirring days and splendid men. This
column is out to foster the spirit and traditions of the A.I.F. You can help hy
forwarding brief accounts of your branch or unit activities, personal paragraphs,
or the latest yarn. The war has reached the reminiscent stace.
