Bat a ?man quantity of wheat has been received from the
country at Messrs Barker and Co.'s mill this week— to be
accounted for by tbe fact that growers are fully engaged
harvesting. The purchases at this mill have v«ried in price
from 3s. 6d to 4s. 9a., according to quality, rlour, ac last
quotation, £12 for fine, and £11 for seconds, per ton of
2,000 lbs ; bran IOd. to la. per bushel. The report from
Mr Bieillat's mill is as follows :— A few samples of wheat
have come to market during the week* which were eagerly
- purchased at about 5». per bushel. A further rise has taken
place in flour, which at this mill is quoted 'at £15 for fine,
and £13 for seconds. Btan and pollard Is. pec bushel.
