! Banjup», via. Jandakot. July 28., ~
Dear Aunt Mary,-At last I am sending
tue twenty-one shillings, and I hope it will
help to do a little good to the poor and
sick. Dear Aunt, I have lost my pretty but
ton you sent me. Can I buy another one?
. I have lost two days looking for it. I saw
j my last letter in the "Mail. We take tho
"Mail" every week. The weather is very
; wet and cold, and all our place is under
i water. Our swamp is about three feet deep.
It looks pretty to see all tho ducks swim-
ming about. Well, dear Aunt, this is all.
-Your loving
I hope you are all quite well.
nephew, BERTIE SHANES,
My Dear Bertie. Thank you very much
for the guinea which last mail brought mo
from you. Indeed, it will help the sick
and the poor. You see, all the money that
the Silver Links collect goes directly to help
those who are suffering, became nothing
has to be spent on buildings or anything
of that kind. I will send you another but-
ton, dear. The rain still continues in Perth,
and we are al! getting rather tired of it.
The swamp must be very pretty with the
ducks on it.
With love-I remain, yours
affectionately, AUNT MARY.
