MELBOURNE, May 15.
The latent information regarding the
stranded barque Magnet is to the effect
that she is still in the same position in
Venus Bay. Captain Wymark, Lloyd's

At' to-day's meeting of the Melbourne
.Hospital committee, a letter was read from
the Council of Churches, emphatically pro
testing against so-called art unions as a
means of raising funds, which the council
characterised as demoralising to the com
munity. The letter was received in rilence.
