Bourbon, oe the ground that the horse was
wrongly en red.,. The stewards resolved that
Bourbon anq Cadland, havlng tied, should run
again at the nd of the day , and If necessary tile
protest sholid to decided afterwards. The result
dlsposed of the protest. At the fall of the flag
Cadland took the lead, and continued to improve
hie position,' Bourbon holding back. Coming
home Bourbon challenged Cadland, hbut Haine
shook him off and won, after an excellent race, by
half a length. Time, 2min. 4ece.

An excollent start wee effected. Strop led
Warwick following closely, with Boiardo and
Plenipo next, and Gleocoo bringing tip the
rear. All the horses were going eeasy. On the
hill Glenc?o.improvedr hie postilon slightly, hot
hard held. On passin(g tho stand the first time
Boiardo was leading with Warwick close by,
Strop 3rd, Phltipo, 4th, and Glencoe still in the
rear. In Ibis order the lot raced close together
until the hollow wae reached, then Warwick
took first place hobut Buolardo again passed Iim
on the hill. !Ilero Plonipo threw his rider, and
was out of the race, Bolardo gave up shortly
afterwarrd, iTle stand was reached .the second
time with Strop loading, and Warwick and
Glencoe following neck and neck at his heels,
Strop now Increased his lead by 10 or 12 yards,
hut War wlk followed him, and Glencoo put on
a aporr, anl at the hill they were alltogether again,

Glencoe ahd Warwick whipping. Strop came in
a winner' by two loength,. Gletnoe 2nd, and
