(From Murray's Review.)
THE ARMY HERE.-There is to be two
entire regiments here of one thousand
bayonets each. This station is to furnish
the commands at New Zealand, Swan River,
and South Australia. Col. Elliott will con-
tinue in the command of the troops here, in
addition to the probable event which the
recently received intelligence may produce,
that by the departure of the Lieutenant-
Governor, Col. Elliott will succeed to the
ad interim government, in which case we
have no doubt that the colonel, knowing
that a new governor will shortly arrive, will
continue to occupy his present military
quarters and daily attend at Government
House in performance of his civil duties.
