FOOTBALL.
The junior clubs in and around Adelaide decided
that the forthcoming season should not commence
until efforts had been made to form an associa-<*>
tion. Meetings were therefore held at the
Hamburg Hotel on March 17 and 24, result
ing in the formation of the South Australian
Junior Football Association, Mr. E. J. Bradley oceu
pving the chair at both meetings. Hie number of dubs
was limited to ten, which limit lias already been
readied, the dobs nJimWxi beine the Coromandel
Valley, Prospect, Creswick, Medindle, Hinrimnrah
Kingston, Lefevre's Peninsula, Semaphore, Albeit
Park, and Fitzrov. The following officers
were appointed for the ensuing season-.—Patron,
ifr. E. X. Smith, M.P.; president, Hon. W. K.
Sinims, M.L.C; vice-presidents, Messrs. D. Bower,
M-IVUr- Todd. W. V. Smith. J. H. Parr. A- J.
Diamond, W. E. Mattinson, M.P., W. Bundey <Uayor
of Adelaide), W. E. Bennett (Mayor of Norwood and
Kensington), T. O. Smith, L. il. Tiers, H. Oemunn,
F. E. BucknaU. and J. R. Hurray; hon. secretary
and treasurer, A. C. Sanders; auditors, Messrs. J.
Boykett and E. J.Bradley. The rules of the A. and S.
F. Association were adhered to n-ith a, few corrections,
and a lot cf business incidental to the movement was
transacted. Each dub was represented by two dele
gates, and the meetings were of an enthusiastic cha
racter.
