The usual service was 4e'd in the
Ross Methodist Church on Christmn.
Night, whew the Rev. J. L. Cope, minis
ter of the circuit, delivered an eloquent
address to a large congregation.
hymns suited to the occasion were
heartily sung. Flowers and foliag
nicely arranged in front of the pulpit
gave a festive appearance to the build'.
Ing. The annual appeal on behalf of
the Livingstone Home for Neglected
Children met with a liberal rosponse.
The services held on the last Sunday
of 1902 were also appropriate to the
season, impressive sermons being
preached by the Rev. J. L. Cope In
the morning and Mr. H. I. Davis in
the evening. The attendance at both
services was very good. A watcltT
night eervice was conducted by Mr.
H. I. Davis, assieted by Mr. W. Salmon,
who has lately settled in the district,
when a fair number of people spent
the last half-hour of the old year hI
reviewing the past and considering the
resolve of the Psalmist-"I will pay,
my voest now unto the Lord in the
presence of His people."
