STATION OVERSEER'S DEATH
VERDICT OF ACCIDENT.
Perth, Nov. 16.
'At the inquest into the circum
*tances surrounding. the death of
Isaac Owen Rosser, overseer, em
ployed at the Miurchisof House sta
tion, who was found dead, with a
bullet, wound in his head, on Novem
ber 8, a verdict of accidental death
,was returned.
Evidence was given that on the
afternoon of November 7 Rosser left
the station house on horseback, for a
spot about three miles away. He did
not return that evening and the fol
lowing morning a search was made
for him. His body was found in a
rocky gorge, about a mile and a half
from the homestead. The body, was
on its back, with a wound in the
,forehead, and a rifle was lying across
,the body. Medical evidence was
given to the effect that, from the
position of the wound, it would ap
pear that death had been caused
through an accident.
The acting coroner found that
Rosser died as a result of a bullet
wound in tho frontal region of the'
skull, and that the discharge of the
rifle was accidental,
