ACCIDENTS
CARS IN HEAD-ON COLLISION
TWO MEN FATALLY INJURED
Sydney, Oct. 14.
Two men were fatally injured
early this morning when two motor
cars met in a head-on collision on
the Parramatta road, Homebush.
Five other persons are injured, all
of whom are expected to survive.
The victims were :-Killed:
Charles T. Lloyd (28), of Mascot;
Hilton Emmett (25), of Croydon.
Injured: Seroff Tannia (25) of
North Sydney, lacerated face, con-
tusions and shock; Stanley Hitch-
cock (34) of the Hotel Metropole,
Sydney, lacrated face and abra-
sions; Joyce Clarke (17), of Pad-
dington, contused forehead and
shock; Mrs. Enid May, of Windsor,
severe wounds to the head and
shock: Herbert May (28), of Wind-
sor, incised wound to the head and
shock.
The cars were travelling at a high
speed and the collision was terrific.
Lloyd, who was driving one of the
cars, containing Emmett, was
frightfully injured and died shortly
after reaching hospital. Emmett
died later.
