• -.-.. -- -?-?,? -
Perth, Sept. 10.
The Premier, Mr. ?Mitchell, in the
course of, a statement yesterday
said :
"The recent gold find at Hampton
Plains will result, I hope, in the es
tablishment of an extensive and pay
able field. May it be a second Kal
goorlie. The Minister for Mines is
formulat;ng a plan of operations to
encourage gold-mining development
that will do much, I hope, to re
vive the industry."
The Minister for Mines, Mr. Scad
dan, has received the following re
port from the Mining Registrar at
Kalgoorlie, Mr. Spence, under date
September 8, regarding the new
gold find in the vicinity of Feys
ville :-"It is reported to be opening
up very satisfactorily, and a number
of prospectors have left for that
locality. As the ground is situated
in the Hampton Lands and Railway
Syndicate's holdings, no applica-.
tions have been received at this
office. I interviewed two well
known mining men; who returned
from Feysville yesterday, and they
donsider the find of very great im
portance, more especiall' as it ap
pears to be on the same line of coun
try as the Golden Mile. I will at
once advise you of any further de
velopments of any importance."
