BROOM MILLET
The price of broom millet has
suddenly risen to £40, and reports indicate
that it is likely to remain at
this very high price for an indefinite
period, because of restrictions placed
upon the imported article.
A small lot of Territory millet recently
sent south by Mr Allen, Direct-
or of Agriculture, realized a very
high price and the; quality is such
that buyers are anxious to secure
large quantities. There seems to be no
doubt that a ready market exists
for Territory millet which ne the
present price, should be much more
profit; able than peanuts and entails
very much less labour in production .
Properly graded and pressed in Dar
win this industry should boom
locally.
