INDIAN CLUB.
Last Sunday the Indian Club conducted
its first half-day observed trial.' Commenc
ing at 1 p.m., competitors were despatched
at minute intervals on the first of three
laps of a duhcult course, louring ram tell
during practically the whole afternoon, con
siderably affecting the course. The final
results, subject to the confirmation of the
committee, are. as follow: —
Solo Class.— L. Nickells (6/7 Indian),' 3
points lost, 1; R. S: Jewell (2| A.J.S.), 6
points lost, 2; J. Merritt.(2} Matchless), 9
points lost, 3. Gil Ford (5/6 Indian) and
T. Armstrong (35 Sun-Jap), each qualified
for a certificate of merit, losing 10 points
each.
Sidecar Class.— E. R. George (6/7 In
dian), lost 10 points, 1; R. Loveland (5/6
Indian), lost 31 points, 2; C. Page 13A
B.S.A.), last 32 points, 3. ,
To-morrow evening the W.A.M.C.A. will
hold a social and dance at the Broadway
Hall, Victoria Park, when prizes won in
the association half-day trial will be pre
sented. In this trial the Indian teamxn-as
the only one to finish, and several members
gualified. for awards. Members should,
therefore, make a point of being present
at Jthis fixture.
Next Sunday the club will conduct a
sealed run, leaving headquarters at 10.45
a.m. A competition will be conducted in
connection with this run, the member
guessing nearest to the 'correct mileage of
the sealed destination being the winner.
