Notice.
PROHIBITION OF WINES &
TREES.
By proclamation, dated June 13th, 1894,
issued pursuant to "The Vine, Fruit,
and Vegetable Protection Act, 1885," the
introduction into South Australia of grape
vines or vine cuttings from any country of
place, and all fruit trees whatsoever from
any country infested with Phylloxera is
absolutely prohibited. All other growing
trees or plants or portions thereof, introduced
into South Australia from any country
or place must. be delivered into the
custody of some officer, of Customs, and
shall, at the expense of the importer or con-
signee, be conveyed in original unopened
packages-, to such place as- may. be directed
for She necessary examination and treatment.
Any person infringing the foregoing regulations
is liable to a penalty of not less than
Five Pounds nor more than One Hundred
Pounds or imprisonment for any period not
exceeding six Months.
