FERTILISER SUPPLIES.
The Acting Premier (Mr. C. G. Latham)
said last evening, that the question of- sup
plying farmers with fertilisers in order
that they might nut in next season's crop
was being seriously considered at confer
? ences between the representatives of mer
chants, storekeepers, and other creditors
of the farmer and the managing trustee of
the Agricultural Bank (Mr. E. A. Mc
Larty). A decision had not yet been ar
rived at.
. The subject was also discussed at some
?.length at the weekly meeting of the State
^Cabinet yesterday morning, Mr. Latham
i said, but pending a decision by the confer
ence no definite action could be taken,
