The Late Mrs. Ada Tuckett
The funeral of the late Mrs. Ada Tuckett, wife
of Mr. Thomas John Tuckett, of Jenkins and Co.,
tailors, High-street, Fremantle, and of 34 Servetus-street, Swanbourne, took
place in the Church of England portion of the Karrakatta
cemetery yesterday afternoon. The Rev. G.
R. Holland officiated at the graveside.
Mrs. Tuckett was born at Dandenong, Vic-
toria, and came to Western Australia 37 years
ago. For the past 30 years she had lived
at Swanbourne, and was an enthusiastic member
of St. Oswald's Church, Swanbourne. She
rendered considerable service in connexion with
the Mothers' Union and the Women's Service
Guild. Mrs. Tuckett was of bright and cheerful
disposition, always anxious to do what she could
for others, and regarded affectionately by all who knew her.
The chief mourners were Mr T. J. Tuckett
(husband), Mesdames J. Sutherland and A. D.
Kemp (sisters), Messrs. Alfred and Joseph Jor-
dan (brothers). Henry Higham (stepfather), J.
Sutherland and A.D. Kemp (brother-in-law) ,
Mrs. J. Jordan (sister-in:law) , Mr. and Mrs.
H J Higham (stepbrother and sister), Miss
Gwen Sutherland (niece), and Miss Gracie
Higham. The pall-bearers were Messrs. F. E.
Fontaine, U. G. Kemp, Fredenck Mills, R. H.
Mission, H. Winterton and W. Merralls.
Among those present were Messrs. P. S.
