o-dony took place on Saturday, on the Barrack
Field, Fremantle, between two pioked teama
.f niue a aide from the Fremantle Baseball
Club. The weatfce- being; moderately fine
ibo game p&sred off vrry satisfactorily, and
though tho game was strange to many of the
players, some creditable play- was exhibited
on both sides, and with , more praotioe and
coaching some first-class players should
emerge from the first olnb formed in the
colony. The game on Saturday was interest*
ing throughout, tbongh there was no big
hitting done by either side, and several berne
runs were made on pass-balls. Thepitohing
was rather loose at times, and many a base was
stolen. Mr. A. Farrant acted as field mapire
