' ? London Sales.
Strong Market at Late Rates.
. LO2IDON, Monday.T— At to-day's wool sales
9;432 -bales were offered,' including 3,558 from
iNeif: South ?Wales, 1,8 41': from Queensland, 1,071
J-froni-'S6uth.-ABstralia, :.713 from Western Aus
traua,--604 irom-iacjona, and 1,410 -from. Jiew
Zealand. Approximately 8,096 bales were sold.
There was a good offering of greasy Merino
clip wools, suitable for all sections of the trade.
The scoureds were mostly of a medium and
faulty description, while the .supply of cross
breds was limited. A strong market prevailed
at late rates. Quotations: — New South Wales,

Brisbane Sales.
BRISBANE, Tuesday, — ^The wool sales were
continued to-dtfy, when 14,450 bales were offered.*
There was again a very representative' selection,
drawn from a wide area of the State, and in
cluding some clips from Xew South Wales. Many
well-grown clips, in attractive order, were in
cluded. Values were fully equal to those of the
opening dav, with the exception of those for all
classes of skirtings, which were about 5 per cent,
lower. Scoured wool, except when of -fine
quality, met with poor demand. Competition
was strong, with a good gcncnrl demand, Japan
and Germany dominating. The highest price
for greasy wool was 14 id., and for scoured 22d.
Goldsbrough, Mort, anil Co. reports — Sales
opened on Monday with fitk competition, Japan
and the Continent being. tVe principal buyers.
Fine wools maintained their position, compared
with our closing rates in November, but strong
and faulty wool was easier. ?
Dalgety and Co. report: — Sales opened on
Monday, with competition keen and general.
There was a good selection. Japanese and Ger
man buyers were the principal operators, with
good support from France and Bradford. Com
pared with Brisbane November sales, ths market
was firm. . AVe offered 10,500 bales, and sold 90
per cent.
Bradford Tops.
LONDON, Monday. — Bradford top? are un
changed in price. There is little business except
a few offers on account of the Botany section
at an extremely low price. Quotations are as
follow:— G4's, 24d.; GO's, 21Jd.; 5Vs, laid.;
50's, 13d.; 46's, lOjd.; 40's, lOd.
