LOCAL BUREAU'S REPORT.
The rainfall recorded in this State for
the 24 hours ended at 8 ain. yesterday;
was confined to portions of the northern'

and the Coolgardie Qoldfteld^. The regis
trations were only light,. 14. points at
Kulja being the highest- In- the Eastern
States light rains were also registered at
scattered stations. Generally cloudy con
ditions prevailed In this State, with some
warm temperatures, which were main
tained yesterday in the tropics and Gas
coyne. At .Hall's .Creek and Derby the
maximum temperature was lOldeg. and
at Wyndham 98deg., but at Port Hed
land and Brppme readings ef only 87deg.
and 84deg. respectively, were reached.
'This disparity ' was no doubt accounted
for by the earlier, arrival at' the latter
'stations of the sea breeze. In the* city
the day was generally cloudy, a maxi
mum temperature of 74.8deg. being at
itained at 2.45 pan.
