LABOUR CONDITION EXEMPTIONS
Applications for total exemption from
labour conditions on a number of gold
mining leases have been recommended to
the Mines Department. Amonc these art?
applications by Wiluna Gold Mines Ltd.,
for six months' exemption on G.MX. 119,
278, 287, 389, 12. 266, 283, 397 and 398. Evi
dence in support of the application* showed
that the company was employing a larger
number of men on its other leases than
was necessary under the Mining Act. Evi
dence showing that Mr. C. A. de Bernales
is now in England trying to raise capital
to work and develop the leases, his ap
plication for six months' total exemption
on G.M.L. 428, 427 and 436 has been re
commended. An application by W. J. Law
son for G.MX. 451J, at Wiluna, has also
been recommended.
