CONGRESS DEMANDS.

CALCUTTA, March 28.— The Congress
Vorking Committee at its meeting at
Karachi carried a resolution confirming
the Delhi agreement between the' Vice-
roy (Lord Irwin) and Mr. M. K. Gandhi
(the Congress leader) to end the civil
disobedience movement in order to clear
the way for discussions for the new consti
tution. Other resolutions adopted by the
committee were a re-affirmation of the
goal of independence for India, a demand
for complete Indian control over the
Army, foreign relations, finance and fiscal
policy, a demand for the release of all
political. prisoners convicted before or after
the civil disobedience, movements and a
demand for the right of self-determination
o be given to Burma. The resolutions will
be placed before the general committee to
day for confirmation.
The .working committee carried a vote of
complete confidence in Mr.^ Gandhi and
appointed him the head of the conference
delegation to the new London Round Table
