Empire Press Union Meeting.
At an extraordinary general 'meeting or
the Empire Press Union yesterday it was
stated that the Australian delegation t -
the union's conference in London next
vear would be the largest tnat had ever
left the Commonwealth. The West Aus
tralian delegates would be Messrs. H;»B.
Jackson., chairman of directors of ??-West
Australian Newspapers, Ltd., and W. J.
Mann, M.L.C, who would represent the
Australian Provincial Press Association.
Messrs. C. T. Harris ('Sydney Morning
Herald'), F. Lloyd Dumas ('Advertiser,'
Adelaide) arid G. Rolph ('Examiner,'
Launceston) were elected ? associates of the
union.
The deputy^chairman (Mr. E. Kyffin
Thomas) presided.
