K AT ANNING SHOOTING.
Aboriginal Seriously Wounded.
.On Saturday a 'message vvas received at
police. headquarters from Inspector Barry,
of NarrdghY, stating- that .eariy- that niorn

mitted' to the Katanning Hospital suffering
from a bullet wound in the stomach, and
that lie was in a serious 'condition. The
Inspector, .added that Leila Morrish, a
female reliitive of Edgill's wife, had been
arrested on a charge of having done griev
ous bodily h\irni to the man.
Edgill's wound is believed to have been
inflicted soon after hearrived at a native's
camp at Kntnnning. He had an altercation
with his wife, and Morrish, with another
native, joined in the argument. Morrish, it
is alleged, had a rifle in h.er hands. Edpll
being armed with a st'clc. The rifle explod
ed and a bullet struck Etlgill.
