In the Home of Commons, to-day Mr.
A. M. Samuel (Parliamentary Secretary
for Overseas Trade) «ad that the Im
perial Government had accented an invi
tation from the Government of New Zea
land to take part in the International
Exhibition which would be held in Dnn
edin (New Zealand) from November to
April. The exhibition authorities had
'ear-marked' a building area of some
50,000 square feet for exhibits from
Great Britain (half for commercial ex
hibits and half for Government exhibits,
which -the Department of Overseas Trade
was organising). It was hoped 'that ar
rangements would be made for a British
exhibit in the art gallery, of the exhibi
tion. — Reuter.
The Vienna correspondent of the lion
don 'Daily Express' says that a strange
death pact tragedy caused the death of
a girl of 16 years and her two lovers in
a wood near Prague. Robick. a painter,
had been forbidden to marry the girl be
cause of her youthfulness, and he per
suaded her to commit smcMe. A rejected
lover named Schwartz, aged 19, was told
of the decision, and he offered to join in
and to do the kilSng. Robick, however,
preferred to do the work himself. He
shot the girl with a revolver, and then
shot Schwartz, and finally himself. The
three died instantaneously.
A. cable message from Helsingfors
(Finland) say3 that the official Bolshevik
organ the ''Krasnaya Gazeta' (Moscow)
has announced the Soviet Government's
decision to seli the remaining Russian
Crown jewels, including the Crown of the
Empress Catherine U. and a sceptre
containing the famous Orion! diamond.
The jewels are estimated to be worth
about 300,000.000 gold rubles.
A Court Martial in Sofia (Bulgaria)
sentenced to death three members of
illegal Communist orgabisations, whfie
20 others were sentenced .to terras of
imprisonment of between eight and 12
years, and two were acquitted. The pur
suit continues of tends of brigands who
are endeavouring to reach 'the mountains.
Some of them have been wiped oat. —

The London 'Evening Standard' saye)
that the body which was found in the
Thames at Wapping has been identified by
relative-s as that of the Hon. Gwyneth
Erica Morgan, who was the only daugh
ter of Lord Tredegar. and who disap
peared on December 11 last. The name
'G. E. Morgan' was marked on the
clothing, and the body is believed to
have been in the water for some months.
A portion of the skirt was torn, and it
is supposed that the body had been en
tangled in some chains or wire^. and tosc
to the surface only when the skirt be
came rotten. When the girl disappeared
information which was received by the
Scotland Yard authorities led them to
search the Chinese quarter in Limehouse,
she could not be traced. The detectives
are now trying to discover whether she
was seen in_ that neighbourhood about
the period of her disappearance.
