CIRCULAR.
STOCK MARKET REPORT,
Adelaide, March 20, 1862.
Fat Cattle. —supplies have continued coming in of late
faster than the market could absorb them. This has caused
the market to be very dull and prices to rule low. Numbers
of good cattle have been sold at a little over store rates.
Stockholders should send in bat very light supplies Tor a
time, and allow themarketto recover itself, which in tills case
it would soon da Oar sales bare been held at Adelaide,
Nairne, and fvtUaston—3o head middling cattle good freights,
for Messrs. Browne, averaging- £3 103 ; 100 head do., light
weights, for Mr. J. H. Angas, averaging £3 sa. 3d.; 16 bead
inferior cattle, many very young, for Mr. Murray, at £118s.
Quotations:—Best bollocks, £* I 0& to £5 155.; second do.,
£3 to £1 5a.; inferior do., £1 10s. to £2 15a. Best cows.
£3 158. to £4. 155.; second do., £2108. to £3 laj.
Fat Sheep.—A very fine flock of wetaers has been sold at
15a. Gool wethers realized 12s. to us.
Store Cattle.—Nothing doing.
Store Sheep.—The market is very bare of good stock. We
have many esqoir'es for both young ewes and wethers. Wo
have sold 1.000 wether lambs at 6s 6d.
Bolls.—We have raid nine bolls at £3 Us.
Bans are very quiet.
Latest Melbourne Quotations. —Beet bultocks, very prime,
£4 to £7 12s. 64.; second best do, £2 to £j; inferior, do.,
£1108. to £2. Best cows. £l to £c 165.; inferior do., £l 10s.
to £2. Best wethers, 16s. to 175.; second best do. 128. to
138. Ewes, 88. to 9s.
