SOUTH FINGALL MINE.
The South Fingall mine M Day Dawn
which for the past four or five- months-
has been' idle, is .to be re-starte(V«hortly.
Mie small syndicate holding this oronertv
has experienced several .set- backs since
conmmencing operations 18 months ago.
Assisted by. a grant from the Mines De
partment a shaft was put down 170ft. io
cut into No. 2 level of the old Fingai:
mine workings south of the sand dump.
The water which had . been rising since,
operations, by the Fingall Company had
ceased had reached Xo. 2 level, when the
syndicate had. completed sinking. Pumps

capacity. On unwaterinic the mine to No.
4 level ' the syndicate - will have a block of
payable stone estimated at 100,000. tons
