STURT.
The splendid victory over West Tor-<*>
rens was pleasing to Sturt supporters,
but accidents are causing officials con- <*>
cern.
R. Ash, playing his first association
game this season, was badly bruised on
the hip in the second quarter. He was
taken to a private hospital, but was
allowed to go home on Tuesday. It
will be three or four weeks before he
will play again.
L. Kinsc received a kick above the
knee in the third quarter. He played
throughout the match, but on Sunday
Sis knee was much swollen, and he will
probably be absent for a match or two
General regret was expressed by the
members when A. A. Smith left for
Mount Gambler on Monday for an in
definite period. His absence will be a
big loss to the club, for he is at the
top of his form, and was one of the
beet on the ground on Saturday.
L. Reeves could not take his place
iri the team against Torrens, owing to a
boil on the knee, but be expects to be
available to-morrow.
A. E. Morgan, who played for the
team last season, apoeared for the first
time against Torrens, and played a
solid game in the back lines.
The 19th man was used for the first i
time this season. Ken Foreman, a i
junior training wish the club, went into
the side when R. Ash was hurt, and
played well.
