Mr. Dwver-Gray Ill
The Treasurer (Mr. E. Dwyer-Gray)
was taken suddenly ill shortly after re-
ceiving a deputation at Launceston yes-
terday morning, and received medical
attention. He may have to enter a pri-
vate hospital in Launceston for a few
days in order to rest. He is being at-
tended by a trained nurse, who was
secured from Hobart. His medical ad-
viser stated last night that Mr. Dwyer
Gray was suffering from a severe at-
tack of renal colic, but that he might
improve sufficiently by today to en-
able him to be taken by motor-car to
his home at Hobart.
Mr. Dwyer-Gray arrived from Hobart
late on Thursday night, and at 11 a.m.
yesterday received a deputation from
business men on the proposed removal
of the Launceston taxation office to
Hobart. Shortly after his return to
the Brisbane Hotel the Treasurer be-
came ill, and a doctor was immediately
called. His condition last night was
stated to be easier.
