NORTH RHINF.
February 2L—Present—All, but Councillor
Heath. Oletk produced specifications for works
required on rosds inspected by Council 13th
ult.; adopted. Mr H. Scmmer banded in as
sessment nude by him for Council; accepted.
Deviation to be made in road at Kork'a HilL
Clerk reported destruction of thistles on stock
travelling reserve. Application by James
Rogers for slaughtering licence; entertained.
Timber licence granted C. Dansie. Guarantee
policy of Clerk to be lodged with Council's
Bank. Receipts, 12s. 6cL; payments, U. 10s.
ONACNGA.
February 23.—Present—Messrs. Annger, An
drews, and Stien. Letter from Commissioner
of Crown lands, stating Government would
eupplement cost of a road-roller if purchased
out of current year's rates. Letter from Mr.
Chapman, contractor for the Junction Bridge,
stating he had received instructions from Engi
neer-in-Chief to metal bridge, and it should be
done by 4th. when it would be opened. Chair
man reported he had passed function approaches.
Council decided re Mr. Thomas McDonald's
•pplication to defer grubbing until ground is
wet, and they will then clear road half-a-chain
wide. Mr. Richardson's application for road to
b? attended to. Accounts paid, MM. ss.
RAPID BAT.
February 21, —Present—Chairman, Cjuncfl
lors Christie and Cook. Mr. McKenzie asked
timber to repair his fence destroyed by late fire.
Granted. Hours for stubble burning fixed.
Corporal Lawrence attended Council re sale of
unbranded cattle on Crown lands. Mr. Joseph
Bennett agrees to give £1 for one unbranded
ball. Mr. Henry Newbold to be allowed to
take stuff from Crown lands to repair his fence
destroyed by the fire. Chairman reported re
pairs wanted on jetty. Chairman to get them
done. Clerk to bring in list of defaulting
ratepayers next Council day.
MOUNT CRAWFORD.
February 23.—Present — Messrs. W. B.
Roun?evell (Chairman), I. Hill, and C. Snell
grove. Letter from Para Wirra Council, re
questing deputation to meet deputation from
Pare Wirra on boundary line with a view to
arrange the same. Ooincil decided to send «.
deputation on Wednesday, 4th March, to meet
at King's Section 1533. Clerk to write to
Daley & Peake to dear their land from thistles
within three days, when Council will dear the
ground at their expense. Leave granted to
Mr. Rounsevell to remove stone for building.—
Mr. G. Mensell asked leave to cut a tree to
make a watertrough; granted under superin
tendence of Mr. John HilL Clerk to write
Central Road Board to repair road at Molden-
Boner* comer. Clerk to write Mr. G. Vt.
Hawket re costs in late case Council v. OOmour.
