A TRAMCAR'S COLLISIONS.
■ A rather peculiar occurrence took place
in Stanicy-street shortly before 4 o’clock
this afternoon, when a-Wharf-street "East
(Brisbane tramcar, boundv citywards, met
with two 'mishaps within 200 yards. The
tlwt11 occurred nefir the intersection at
Erticet-strcet, when the car collided with
a dray belonging to ' the' Caatlemaino
•Brewery. The . motor man had .rung his
gong vociferously, but*, owing5no a cart
standing at the roadside the‘.driver, of the
- dmy found himself tumble to avoid the
path of the tram in time. • The result
wiw a sharp bump, 'but, as the ear had
been pulled tip to a very .slow pace, the
impact Ciilised no damage whatever to the
dray,' though the horse appeared to .be
frightened. The footboard of the cu was

tram proceeded ou it way, but had
only reached, the next street,, when,
another collision occurred^ this time with
a cart Vhich was, it is said, being drived
on the wrong side of the street. Thu dam

Shortly after 2 o'clock this afternoon a
boy was* riding a bicycle up Queen-street,
near Ilia (Majesty's Theatre, When a dog
rushed at the mat-luiie, causing the boy to’
fall. It happened that n 'motor car was
being driven Jbt/hmd the 'bicycle, and he*

,was stopped, and the boy extricated. The
latter was not seriously Quirt, however,

and eventually he was able to mount his
bicycle again ami proceed. .
