CLIFFORD PARK GALLOPS
HEAVY TRACKS AND SLOW TIMES
Owing to the recent and very wel
come rain the tracks at Clifford Park
Were heavy yesterday. Consequently no
fast times were recorded. The majority
of horses were restricted to pace work.
AUBREY AYRES sprinted well again
and ran the best three furlongs of the
morning, registering 38 2-5sec. This
Was a good run, considering the con
dition of the track. All work was done
on the Little Grass track. The follow
ing are some of the times recorded: —
ON THE LITTLE GRASS
WB3ZNETT (R. Hunt) ran half a
Jnile In 54sec.; COLOSSEUM (Les.
fWatterson) took 54 l-5sec. for his half-
mile. VILLIERFELT and ROYAL
PUPIL took 545sec. for the same dis
tance. SPEARBLEU (McAuliffe) and
PES HARRINGTON registered 54 2-5
ieq. for half a mile. LITTLE PROS
PECT ran three in 39 2-5 sec. STTLL-
foTOOD (R. Hunt) had to be checked
down the running and took 41sec. for
bn three. HAWKWOOD went well
and registered 39sec. for three on top
,Of pace work. AUBREY AYRES seems
to be a great track worker and ran the
last three of the morning, registering
28 3-Ssec. DEAN SIDE (Orr) did not
seem to like the going and took lmin.
p'2-Bseo. for five furlongs, the last four
