DECISION OF-THE FEDERAL
CAUCUS. ;
■ ' MELBOURNE, Friday. ,
- The Caucus, has decided, on the mo-I
tion of Mr. Webster, to ask Parliament
to authorise an extra referendn extend-:
ingthe leave of the present Parliament
for another year, so as to fix the general
elections for.both Houses in June, 1919.
The ostensible reason is the war and the
unfairness of asking members to meet
, another general election so soon after a
double dissolution. Onlv a nomiual op
position is expected in Parliament.
