National Football
Jack Dorman, mainstay of the
Manuka team for 18 years will
make his first appearance of the
season with, the "bull ants" when
they play Queanbeyan at Queanbeyan
Oval to-day. , '.
. Manuka is unbeaten leader, of
the National football competition,
but will be tested on the

Manuka will be without its carnival'
rover,- Peter Gaughwin, who'
is at present in Adelaide. Yandell,
another rover,- will also be
absent.
Alf., Les., and Bill Drayton will
play for Eastlake against Ainslie
at Northbourne Oval. The
clash, should provide the' most
interesting match of the day.
Eastlake, will field its strongest
team for several weeks. Injuries'
have' dealt severely with the; "red
and whites." John Marshall,- former,
star full back, will also make
a re-appearance With the team.
Ainslie is confident of success;
Bob Boers, captain, has struck
form. The club has a match
winnings rover in Trembearth.
Acton and Turner will fight out
last place on the competition ladder
at York Park. With more
than five of its players on military
