Twenty-four. fresh trucks and 15 carryovers
were offered at the chaff and grain nc
tion sale held in the Perth railway -ards this
morning. Prime sold at £7 12s. 6d. a ton,
and in one instance £7 15s.; f.a.q. to prime
realised from £7 7s.-6 d. to. £7 10s.; and average
quality from £7to £7 5S. Oats: Sixteen fresh
tracks and 12 cearryorers were yarded. Good
heavy feeds in new bags sold at 4.. 7d. to 4..
8d. a bushel, and light feeds at 4s. Id. to 4s. G&.
Potatoes: ione offered. The market is a lit)e
rmaer, prime samples selling at £10 7s. Gd. to

report (December 8):-Increased supplics of ap
ricots and peaches forward to a good demand.
Several lines of apricots arrived in an overripe
eondition. Narel oranges were short, and
Valencias were in good demand. Lemons firm.

Elder, Smith, and -Co., Ltd., report (Decem
ber 5):-We yarded 162 dairy cattle and 110
hores at our usual weekly sale today. The
cattle were drawn principally from country
distriots, and. included a few nice quality
yoong cows with calvs at foot, some good
yonng dairy cows, forward springers, and a
number of nidely-bred dairy heifers, with a
few smaller steers and some pedigreed bulls of
various breeds. For any good young cows in
full profit prices were slightly, firmer, and
forward springers also sold well. Medium
dairy cows showed very little improvement. hbut
for beifers there was keen competition at im
proved rates. Well-bred hblls also realised
good prices. Quotations:--Good Ynor dairy
cos, with mles at foot, £17 to £2-; odd
beasts higher; medium dairy. cows with carls
at foot. £14 to £16; aged cows with calves at
foot, £10 to £17; dry cows, good condition. to
£14 I1s.: store cows, r8 to £9 10s.; forward
springers, £15 to £18;: odd beasts higher;
backward springers, £12 to £15; heifers, 24
year £10 to £12 10.; hwifers. 2 years, £8 to
