meeting with some response. Under' this
scheme'.those who cannot enlist themselve
are asked to insure the lives of married
men who have -enlisted, and have depend
ants. Mr. R. P. Vincent, chairman of the
State ecruiting Committee, and Mr. R. R.
Pilkington. L.A., of the same commit
tee, have each insured a recruit for £200,
dunring service abroad. Generous support
has been obtained from Beans, Ltd.,
£400; Bon Marche, Ltd., £500; Goode;
Durrant, and Co., £500; Mr. W. Watson,
Fremantle, £o00; Mr.. Kerr, Opawa Sta
