Johnny To George
DAILY MIRROR WORLD CABLES)
NEW YORK, Wednesday.—American ace jockey
Johnny Longden, presented his friend George
Moore with a new 1950 model car as a parting
just before the Australian jockey left by plane
for home, it was learned today.
George was a tremendous
help to me when I was in
Australia, and no American
jockey who got to know him
will ever forget what a won-
derful guy he is," said Long-
den.
"Moreover, he would make
a terrific jockey here in the
United States if he would
change his style by shorten-
ins his stirrups.
No American boys leave
the stirrups as long as
George does. He is a first-
class horseman and a gentle-
man besides," concluded
Longden.
[Moore arrived in Sydney by 'plane last nlght.]
