WHITEHALL SIGHS
FOR RED OLD DAYS
Daily Mirror World Cables.
LONDON, Wednesday.— The news-
magazine Cavalcade, commenting
on the rupture in Anglo-Finnish rela-
tions. says that Britain should have
avoided this insult by acting earlier
in accordance with Mr. Churchill's
declaration that any nation march-
ing with Hitler is our enemy.
The Foreign Office reaction to the
insult, says Cavalcade is one of re-
gret and also of nostaglia for the old
days when Reds were Reds and out-
side the pale.
"The Finns will probably be sorry,"
it adds. "We may have to be quite
tough with them."
